My name is Joe Chase and I am passionate about photography. It’s important to note that I rarely take myself seriously, but when I get behind a camera, my whole world flips and I am united with my first love, my Nikon. I was born and raised in New Brunswick but have called Newfoundland home for the past twenty years, falling in love with the island every day and always finding the most interesting places to photograph. Trying to capture the beauty in Newfoundland is difficult at times, yet waking up at 3:30 a.m., regardless if I get the shot, is rewarding. Beginning my day with a sunrise from Cape Spear is the perfect way to start it, and knowing I am the first person to witness this beauty in North America, makes it that much more satisfying! It really is the small things in life.
